My Background

Conor Hourigan is the founder of Global Wealth Talent, an independent advisory practice supporting UHNW and HNW wealth managers on senior hiring combining both coverage of external client advisors, and quiet diligence of incoming leaders and teams.

He has spent more than twenty years in wealth management talent and leadership advisory, completing over 300 senior mandates and team moves across the U.S., EMEA, APAC, and Latin America. Before founding Global Wealth Talent, he was Senior Partner, Global Wealth Management at Korn Ferry. Earlier, he served as Co-Global Head of Talent Acquisition at UBS Wealth Management, with direct responsibility for senior hiring and team moves across multiple regions. He began his leadership-advisory career at Russell Reynolds Associates.

Roughly half of Conor's career has been with US-headquartered clients; the other half with global, regional, and local platforms outside North America. That mix has given him a practical understanding of how different firms approach UHNW/HNW clients and growth — and how those dynamics play out across booking centres and structures. Over time, he has built a relationship map of around 30,000 people in the global UHNW/HNW wealth ecosystem.

Born and raised in Ireland, Conor is a dual Irish–U.S. citizen based in London, with a perspective shaped by more than a decade in New York and extensive work in Switzerland and the wider offshore ecosystem. He holds a B.Sc. in Finance from University College Cork.
